Staff & Resident Safety

Resident Help Call Video

  • Exact location of a resident can be known at any given time
  • Wireless call for help for residents
  • Documentation of response time to resident (This information can be a great marketing fact for collateral pieces.)
  • Documentation of who responded to resident’s help call
  • Staff can call for help with a resident and/or for themselves
  • Motion detectors in resident’s room(s) to alert staff when resident hasn’t moved in a pre-determined period of time
  • When a resident leaves the facility in their own vehicle an alert will notify staff if resident hasn’t returned in a pre-determined about of time
  • Residents living on first floor of facility have entrance alarms on doors on the outside of their apartments to alert if intruder is trying to enter
  • Residents living in independent living housing on campus have security alarms on windows and doorways to alert if intruder is trying to enter.
  • Documentation that caregivers’ hands are washed before and after being with each resident to decrease the spread of infections

 

Access Control

  • Entry to designated areas is limited to approved staff, residents, and/or visitors
  • Documentation of who entered a specific area and amount of time in that area
  • When designated residents (Those with walkers and/or in wheelchairs.) approach doors, they automatically open in common areas
  • When a resident is escorted by an authorized caregiver, doors automatically unlock without having to call for the door to be unlocked either remotely by another individual and/or in person by another individual
  • When a caregiver is transporting a resident in wheelchair and/or with a walker the doors open automatically to those authorized to enter that particular area (i.e., physical and/or respiratory therapy areas, etc.)

 

Asset Tracking

  • Alert notification when designated equipment is about to be removed from a specific area (i.e., laptops, wheelchairs, etc.)
  • Documentation when equipment is in/out of service (i.e., everything from lawnmowers for the maintenance staff to laptops, wheelchair, etc.)
  • Alerts when a piece of equipment is due for maintenance (i.e., IV monitors, etc.)
  • Notification if equipment is moving (in-use) or static and location

 

Staff Management

  • Documentation of time staff is with each resident
  • Time logs of billable staffs’ time (i.e., physical and respiratory therapist, etc.) and the resident whom they are assisting
  • Documentation that caregivers’ hands are washed before and after being with each resident to decrease the spread of infections
  • Documentation of response time to resident (This information can be a great marketing fact for collateral pieces.)
  • Documentation of who responded to resident’s help call
  • Documentation that kitchen staff’s hands are washed after going to restroom

 

Fire System Inspections

Fire systems

Fire systems notify first responders immediately if a fire occurs.

With our fire system, should a fire occur, the system triggers a fire alert and immediately notifies first responders. Multiple buildings can be linked together wireless and/or network for one reporting system… saving money on phone lines and monitored accounts.
